IT WAS A DARK & RAINY NIGHT !
And so the story goes , there we were on a rainy Saturday night totally addicted to twitter , late November 2009 when i picked up a rather interesting tweet called " Shocking Barack "
turns out it's an interactive campaign launching the electric Brammo motorcycle by riding to the White House to present two very special electra glida blues to prez Obama !
We started joining in the conversation & retweeting this awesome idea ( little did we know it would leed to bigger things , beyond our wildest dreams ! )
Here's what happened next , the guys riding the bikes were riding from Detroit to Washington & were tweeting along the way - they asked people to help spread the word ,
being a small viral creative think tank ( based in Johannesburg at the time ) we suggested ( on twitter ) that maybe they could get people to sign the bikes along the way with
messages of goodwill to the prez , maybe even be so bold as to call the bikes " yes we can ! "
Well the rest is history as they say , within a very short space of time Dave ( a creative guy at the agency , who also rode one of the electric Brammos ) dm'd us back on twitter
saying he liked the idea - the next morning we received another dm tweet from Alex Bogusky himself saying he liked the idea & wanted to run it by the client !
To our amazement a video was shot showing our idea coming to life , pretty soon people started signing the bikes , check it out - we are blessed to have been a part of such
a great interactive idea - thanx CP&B !
